These Rights Are Your Rights by Amnesty UK goes free range today, and we managed to get the whole team to celebrate at the publishers.

It means a lot to be part of this project, so I want to thank Amnesty and Andersen Press for choosing me as illustrator. As an essential guide for kids to know their rights, it does mean it gets a bit heavy in places, so that’s where I came in, to try and add a touch of lightness wherever I could. Written by Amnesty’s Nicky Parker with contributions by Zahra Joya and Angelina Jolie, it’s an important book that teaches kids equality, gives them the confidence to speak up and encourages them to reach their potential, no matter what life throws at them.
